The much - awaited trailer of Dinesh Vilan 's directorial debut ' Raabta , starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon was launched on Monday . Going by the promo , the chemistry between the lead pair was evident and turned out to be the highlight of the event . What also stood out was the melodious title track of the film _ the recreated version of Agent Vinod 's soulful hit Raabta Sushant Singh Rajput and Going bythe A testament to the film 's title and its deeper meaning was the casting of Kriti and Sushant . Kriti revealed , " Dinesh had called me to narrate a different story but he happened to tell me this by chance and it stayed with me for days and I asked him why isnt he making it . Within the first few takes , Sushant and I started completing each other 's lines , we were just meant to be a part of ' Raabta . There was clearly a connect."
Sushant added , " Dinu had narrated me various scripts and this was the film that he was not offering me but it was stuck in my head . " Produced by Dinesh and Bhushan Kumar and presented by T - Series and Maddock Films , ' Raabta is set to hit screens on June 9 , Dinesh elaborated , " Sushant and Kriti gave me the confidence to make this him as it is about the energy between the lead actors and they had it . " Joining them on stage was actor Jim Sarb , who also plays a significant role in this intriguing tale of unexplainable connection , serendipity and reincarnation . He teased Dinesh by
